How It Works

The Toe Jam Spreader (TJS) uses two arms that are simultaneously pushed outwardly in opposing directions as the crank is turned clock wise. This applies an accurate force of pressure on any interior surface within a ski boot’s shell. Once your TJS is in the proper position, simply heat the boot’s shell from the outside while activating the tool. Watch as the arms begin to push out and stretch the heated plastic, giving you more room where you need it without making other areas too loose.

The Toe Jam Spreader Kit offers a complete solution for effective foot care and correction, going beyond just the basic tool. This comprehensive kit includes:

• Toe Jam Spreader Tool: Designed to accurately stretch the toe box and provide relief from tightness and discomfort.
• Instep Jack Tool: Elevates and adjusts the instep height to alleviate pressure on the top of the foot.
• Lengthening Beam: Works alongside the toe jam spreader tool to stretch the boot liner. As the arms of the toe jam spreader are expanded, the beam is pushed in two opposite directions, stretching the liner of the boot (the liner must be removed first). When the liner is heated, it becomes pliable and stretches easily. Once cooled down, it retains the new shape, providing the wearer with extra room inside the boot. The lengthening beam helps avoid uncomfortable break-in periods by the liner before skiing.
